I prefer boring, reliable technology over novelty when the system demands stability. When I introduce complexity — whether AI, workflow engines, or distributed processing — it's done deliberately, with clear boundaries and fallback strategies.
Over the past few years, I've worked on evolving real systems — not greenfield demos — into stable, scalable platforms. That has meant inheriting legacy workflows, untangling tightly coupled logic, introducing event-driven boundaries, and designing payment-safe architectures that don't break under retry storms, webhook duplication, or external downtime.
My interests sit at the intersection of:
- Distributed systems and event-driven architecture
- Payment correctness and webhook reliability
- AI-assisted workflows with human-in-the-loop guardrails
- Failure-aware design over optimistic assumptions
I care about systems being understandable six months later. That means clean domain separation, observable workflows, explicit tradeoffs, and documentation that reflects how the system actually behaves — not how we wish it behaved.
What I'm looking for
Tech Lead or Senior Engineering roles where I can combine systems architecture ownership with growing a small team — ideally in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated environments where correctness and auditability matter as much as velocity.
